Adapted books from Shahnameh on display at IIDCYA

An exhibition of selected adapted books based on Shahnameh is held at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA).

According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the office of public relations and international affairs of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, 76 books adapted from Shahnameh are at display in this exhibition from which 17 titles are published by the Institute and 59 others by other publishers.

The books ‘They so say that Ferdowsi …’ by Mahdi Akhavan Sales, illustrated by Ali Akbar Sadeghi; ‘The first Norooz of the World’ by Mohammad Reza Yusefi, illustrated by Hassan Amehkan; ‘Jamshid Shah’ written by Mehrdad Bahar and illustrated by Farshid Mesghali; ‘Sweet Tales of Ferdowsi’, ‘Gordafarid’, ‘Rostam’s Seven Labors’ and ‘Oppressive Zahak and Kaveh’ are among the works at display in this exhibition.

This exhibition is open to public from Saturday to Wednesday, except for the holidays, until April 20, 2015 at Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults on Shahid Beheshti St., Khalid Istanbuli (Vozara), Shahid Malek Shamran Complex.
