Iranian publishers attend Book Fair in Doha

In the 25th Doha International Book Fair which will run until January 17, 2015 in Qatar, Iranian cultural institutions attended on invitation to introduce the publishing industry in Iran.

According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the public relations of Iran's Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) that publishers from our country were also present at the Fair. ‘Kani Mehr’ Publications directed by ‘Zahra Ahani’ is offering art books in this Fair. She is now participating in the Fair for a few years and has her own customers to whom she sends books during the year, especially in the category of fiction books. Her Iranian style of dressing has particularly attracted the attention of the visitors.

There are three other stands at the 25th Doha International Book Fair that introduce Iranian works of art and related art books. Qataris’ interest in the works of Iranian artists and calligraphers has made this stand very popular.Another stand devoted to Kufic calligraphy style is also present at this Fair for the first time. ‘Seyyed Mohammad Vahid Mousavi Jazayeri’, holder of a degree in art (equivalent to PhD), and the writer of several books on Kufic style and graphic writes beautiful calligraphy before his audience. He says that his attending this Fair aims at better relations among the Islamic nations and the presentation of a common culture between Iran and Qatar.
